Jacob Bean was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. At 16, he moved to North Dakota with his parents who are missionaries on a Native American reservation. After graduating high school in North Dakota, he attended Dakota College at Bottineau and earned associate degrees in Marketing, Advertising and Web Design. In 2011, Jacob was named North Dakota’s New Century Scholar (top academic award per state) by USA Today and Coca Cola. The following year, Jacob became a Jack Kent Cooke Scholar and received a $100,000 scholarship to finishing his bachelor degree. He attended Shorter University in Rome, Georgia where he graduated with a bachelors in Communication, Public Relations and Advertising, as well as minors in Spanish and Photography. Jacob spent his final year of college studying Spanish and interning with a film studio in Alicante, Spain.
